Professor Chu Pham Ngoc Son was born on April 10, 1936, in Ho Chi Minh City, with his ancestral home in Hung Yen province. He was formerly the Vice President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Ho Chi Minh City.

Throughout his scientific career, Professor Chu Pham Ngoc Son has published 200 scientific papers in specialized journals, had 5 works put into production, and published numerous textbooks and monographs on general chemistry and chemical thermodynamics.
