Mr. Nguyen Hong Thang shared that young people are the core and pioneering force in implementing digital transformation activities. With the goal of increasing awareness, providing skills, and solutions to help Vietnamese youth have a safe and reliable online presence on the internet, the Ministry of Information and Communications has launched the "Online Presence with the National Domain Name ".vn" program.

To encourage young people to participate, the program has two breakthroughs: two years of free domain names and accompanying digital services (email/website).

The domain name "biz.vn" is for newly established businesses (within the last year) and for individual business owners. The domain name "id.vn" is for citizens aged 18-23.

This is an opportunity for young people to access and use websites and private email accounts linked to their own domain names, for activities such as studying, starting businesses, and creating online personal profiles (CVs). The program is being implemented nationwide.

Promoting the pioneering role of youth in digital transformation.

The Director of the Vietnam Internet Center hopes that through this program, Vietnamese youth will be able to play a pioneering role in digital transformation, apply information technology, and master digital technology in their lives to develop socio -economic aspects and promote digital transformation in youth union activities.

Mr. Le Duy Hung Thinh, Acting Director of the Youth Media Center, affirmed that he will cooperate with the Vietnam Internet Center to popularize and enhance digital skills for all Vietnamese youth.

According to the agreement between the two centers, in the near future, activities will be undertaken to build, standardize, and implement the use of websites associated with the national ".vn" domain for grassroots youth organizations. This will serve as the official communication channel for youth activities.

Vietnamese youth will have their awareness raised and be provided with skills and solutions to enhance their digital capabilities. Simultaneously, digital technology will be applied in communicating the activities and movements of the Youth Union and Youth Association at all levels.

Website design competition for individuals and Youth Union branches.

In September 2024, the Vietnam Internet Center will collaborate with the Youth Media Center to organize two competitions for youth union members, students, and members of the Student Union at universities and colleges nationwide.
