I have lived in Vietnam for 14 years and for the same number of years I have witnessed the special atmosphere during the April 30 holiday every year. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, which has a very important meaning. Looking back at Vietnam's development path since the war, especially in the fields of transport infrastructure, economy... I am really impressed. From a country with many difficulties, Vietnam has risen to become one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia.
2025 also marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States. This is a particularly important milestone, opening up many opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two countries in areas such as culture, education, economy and technology. As an American living and working in Vietnam, I look forward to new developments in this comprehensive partnership.
I also look forward to the development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The US should not only invest in high-tech sectors such as Amazon, Google, Nvidia, but also expand to small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in manufacturing - where Vietnam has great potential to become a center in the global supply chain.

Currently, most of the FDI flows into Vietnam serve the production of goods for the US market. I hope that the trade policies between the two countries will continue to be resolved, creating conditions for the two sides to become strategic partners in production and sustainable development.
Regarding people-to-people exchanges, I think this is an important bridge. Not only in education or science, but also music, entertainment and cuisine can become effective connecting channels.
I hope that in the coming time, Vietnam will continue to expand its cooperation with film studios and producers from the US. I look forward to many TV series collaborating with international actors and crews, especially from the US. Vietnam is a priority destination for international film projects that will facilitate the promotion of the domestic film industry, especially when there is support in terms of mechanisms and technology transfer from foreign partners.
American music is still under-exploited in Vietnam. I hope there will be more international music events where famous American artists have the opportunity to perform in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Hue, bringing cultural value and creating a space for exchange between artists and audiences.
Cuisine is also a great connecting "language". American dishes have been positively received by Vietnamese people, and vice versa, I hope Vietnam will increase the promotion of its cuisine internationally. For example, Pho, which is very popular in the US, can completely become a soft cultural symbol of Vietnam. Combining culinary promotion with a methodical communication strategy in the international market will help elevate the image of Vietnam and bring Vietnamese culture closer to friends around the world.
