Every time she goes to Hanoi for work or to perform, singer Le Quyen regularly appears at a small crab noodle shop on Cua Bac Street. This special connection makes many fans call it "Le Quyen crab noodle shop", an unofficial name but familiar to many diners.
Not only does the singer go directly to the restaurant, she also often orders food to her accommodation whenever she visits the capital. Despite her busy schedule, the "tea room queen" still tries to enjoy the food as a habit that is hard to break.
Many fans joke that "eating Le Quyen's vermicelli soup" is a "must-try" experience when coming to Hanoi, both satisfying the taste buds and getting to "get close" to the idol in a very ordinary way.

Interestingly, the restaurant owner, Ms. Mai Thu (in black shirt, right) and Le Quyen have been close friends since the singer was not yet famous. However, Ms. Thu was still surprised by her friend's special love for crab noodle soup.
"Every time Le Quyen comes to Hanoi, she stops by to eat or orders delivery. At first, I was surprised, but now I'm used to receiving orders from Quyen on holidays, or when she performs and films in Hanoi," Ms. Thu shared.

Not only Le Quyen, many other artists have also come to the restaurant to enjoy this dish. Meritorious Artist Le Vi (wearing a scarf, left) - a woman with timeless cinematic beauty - also often visits the Cua Bac crab noodle shop to find the taste of old Hanoi.

Singer Tu Dua (wearing glasses) and his extended family are also regular guests here. TikTokers and food reviewers also come to experience and introduce the place on social media.

Many people come to the restaurant out of curiosity about the dish that Le Quyen loves and then become regulars because of its rich, authentic flavor. The restaurant is decorated in the style of old Hanoi, with yellow walls, wooden tables and chairs, pictures of the old town and decorative details that evoke memories of an elegant, quiet Hanoi.

According to Ms. Mai Thu, the opportunity to make bun rieu came from her love for this dish. After tasting the dish cooked by a friend, she found it so delicious that she wanted to start a business.
"I want each bowl of noodles to not only be delicious but also bring diners back to an old, familiar space like their grandmother's or mother's kitchen. Many foreigners, after eating, ask me for the noodle recipe to bring back to their home country," said Ms. Thu.

The restaurant currently serves crab noodle soup, one of Hanoi's traditional specialties with a characteristic light, fatty, sweet flavor.
In addition to regular vermicelli with crab, diners can choose vermicelli with pork fat with an irresistible crispy and fatty flavor.
For diners traveling in groups or wanting to change the taste, the crab hotpot set with a price of about 250,000 VND for 2-3 people is also a popular choice.

Every day, the restaurant serves more than 200 bowls of noodles, especially crowded at noon from 12:00 to 13:00. The broth - the "soul" of the dish - is cooked in batches, carefully preserved for 2-3 days, ensuring a stable richness while still saving time during peak hours.

A bowl of noodles here costs from 35,000 to 65,000 VND, which is considered reasonable for the quality of the food and the space of the restaurant. The bowl of noodles is full, the broth is attractive, the colors are eye-catching, the toppings are diverse, from crab paste, ham, bean curd, sausage to pork rinds, duck eggs...

Judy, a tourist from Finland, and her husband accidentally discovered the noodle shop while staying at a nearby hotel. After enjoying it, Judy said that this was the first time she had eaten Vietnamese vermicelli soup and she was very impressed.
"The broth here is quite rich, the ingredients are rich and the price is much cheaper than food in Europe. I really like this dish," said Judy.

The regular appearance of singer Le Quyen and many famous artists at the restaurant has unintentionally become a special "customer attraction".
Gia Linh (23 years old), a regular customer, said: "My friends and I often eat here. Sometimes, we joke with each other that if we come to the vermicelli soup restaurant, who knows, one day we might meet Le Quyen in real life."

Although she really likes the taste of the noodles here, Ms. Ha, who works near the restaurant, shared that although the restaurant posted information that it opens at 7am, there were days when she came and still had to wait because the restaurant had not prepared the ingredients yet.
"I wish the restaurant could welcome customers earlier, so that working people like me can have breakfast and go to work," said Ms. Ha.
