The 2025 Hanoi High School Band and Music Group Festival took place recently with many outstanding performances. The first prize was awarded to two bands: TOS band of Olympia High School and BG70 of Viet Duc High School.
The lead singer of TOS band - Nguyen Pham Cat Tuong - possesses a beautiful appearance and a powerful voice. Cat Tuong's performance of "Co Doi Thuong Ngan" contributed to bringing the band the highest position.

However, the winner of the golden voice award was another face: Tran Thi Minh Chau - member of the Muot band, Thuong Tin High School.
Minh Chau made a strong impression in the preliminary round when performing the song Calligraphy by musician Nguyen Duy Hung.

The most cheered on the final night was Nguyen Thu Giang - a member of the BG70 band, Viet Duc High School. Thu Giang's erhu is the soul of the band, bringing the female student the individual award for best traditional instrument player.

Thu Giang grew up in an artistic family, with her grandmother and aunt both being dancers. She has studied musical instruments since she was young, and is currently studying both culture at Viet Duc School and the intermediate level of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
The best drummer award was given to Nguyen Khanh An - an 8th grade student at Olympia High School, a member of the TOS band. Khanh An is also one of the few students still in middle school participating in this competition.

Another impressive member of the TOS band is Tuong Vu Luong, the guitarist. Luong has just been accepted to Berklee College of Music - the world's leading contemporary music school - to pursue a career in music production.

The impressive trumpet sound is the award for Le Duy Anh - member of the MASS band, High School of Educational Sciences.
Duy Anh is the son of famous saxophone artist Le Duy Manh. Currently, Duy Anh is pursuing professional music at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, in parallel with his cultural studies.

Bui Lam - who plays rhythm guitar in the band Dau Tich, Binh Minh High School - is the son of the main actor of the hit TV series "My Father, the One Who Stays" - Meritorious Artist Bui Nhu Lai.

Joining Bui Lam's band is Dang Dinh Tam - who won the award for best keyboard player. Dinh Tam is also considered the "locomotive" of the band, laying the foundation for the group's arrangements.
The most prominent face in the Medley Melody band, Phan Huy Chu High School is Kieu An Thach. The male student plays lead guitar, is the leader of the group and won the individual award for best guitar player.

The 2025 Hanoi High School Band and Music Festival will feature 37 teams from public, private and international high schools. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training plans to organize the festival every two years to create a quality artistic playground for students and discover and nurture musical talent.
