The Food Safety Department requests these agencies to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to inspect the compliance with food safety regulations of food production and processing establishments in the area, focusing on establishments producing and trading moon cakes, confectionery, soft drinks, traditional foods produced in craft villages, small establishments; food service establishments, street food...; promptly trace and recall products that do not ensure food safety. At the same time, strictly handle violations and publicize the names of establishments, addresses and types of violating products on mass media. If there are signs of criminality, it is recommended to transfer to the police for handling according to the provisions of law.

Localities need to strengthen communication on ensuring food safety during the Mid-Autumn Festival. In particular, for food production and trading establishments, it is necessary to implement legal regulations on food safety: conditions of facilities, equipment, tools, knowledge and practice; comply with regulations on the origin of food ingredients, self-declaration of products; on the use of colorants, flavorings, additives, packaging, etc.

It is necessary to guide consumers on how to select, process, preserve and use safe food; only buy and use food and food additives with clear labels and origins.
