Igniting the aspirations of young people to contribute, keeping the "Three Ready" flame burning brightly.

Members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department Do Anh Tuan; Vice Chairperson of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, along with historical witnesses who directly participated in the "Three Ready" movement and more than 2,500 youth union members and young people from the capital city.

At the program, Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh reviewed the 60-year history of the "Three Ready" movement - a typical revolutionary action movement of the youth of Hanoi and the whole country. Accordingly, exactly 60 years ago, on the evening of August 9, 1964, the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union launched the "Three Ready" movement throughout the city, igniting the revolutionary spirit of Hanoi's youth, students, and university students.

The "Three Ready" movement included the following principles: "Ready to fight; ready to join the armed forces; ready to go anywhere and do anything the Fatherland needs." From the August Revolution Square, thousands of young people in Hanoi, brimming with youthful energy and enthusiasm, set off to fight amidst blazing flames, their "Three Ready" oath echoing throughout the area… The "Three Ready" movement became one of the largest revolutionary action movements of the youth of Hanoi and Vietnam in the 20th century.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union stated that, in the current period, in response to new demands and building upon the "Three Ready" movement and other patriotic movements of young people, the Hanoi Youth Union has launched and implemented revolutionary action movements such as: "Youth Volunteers," "Creative Youth," "Youth Vanguard in Defending the Fatherland," "I Love Hanoi," etc., aiming to promote the pioneering, voluntary, and creative role of young people in building the capital and defending the Fatherland.

Young volunteers in Hanoi have actively donated blood to save lives, participated in supporting students during exam season, maintained traffic safety and order, spearheaded the construction of new rural areas, administrative reform, economic development; started innovative businesses; and volunteered in remote, disadvantaged, border, and island areas...

"The youth of Hanoi are aware that each stage of development of the capital and the country requires the Youth Union at all levels to constantly renew itself, keeping pace with the development trends of society and the needs of young people. The Youth Union must be a place that inspires, awakens noble aspirations and actions to realize those aspirations in each young person; volunteering to take on difficult and new tasks; building our beloved capital into a rapidly and sustainably developing city," affirmed the Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union.

According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, the Hanoi Youth Union and each of its members and young people in the capital city always affirm their responsibility to the Fatherland and their love for Hanoi with a great aspiration and through concrete, practical actions; promoting the pioneering and creative role of young people in successfully implementing the political tasks of the Central Government and the City; steadfastly "holding the red flag with a yellow star and moving forward" as expected by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and worthy of the advice of beloved President Ho Chi Minh during his lifetime: "In all work, the youth of the capital city must set an example for the youth of the whole country."

At the event, Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai, along with other central and city leaders, presented meaningful gifts of gratitude to historical witnesses who directly participated in the "Three Ready" movement.

Following that, at both locations, the artistic and political program "Youthful Aspirations - The Everlasting Flame of the Three Ready" took place. The program recreated a proud historical period of the youth of Hanoi in particular and the youth of the whole country in general.

The meticulously staged artistic performances, featuring modern sound and lighting effects, interspersed stories between two locations: the August Revolution Square and the Gia Lam Railway Factory – historical landmarks that witnessed tens of thousands of enthusiastic young people from Hanoi ready to fight; ready to join the armed forces; ready to go anywhere and do anything the Fatherland needed.

The program offers television viewers nationwide an artistic space filled with diverse colors and emotions, showcasing the image of Hanoi's youth union members and young people during the glorious stages of the nation's history.
