Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment, Head of the Editorial Team chaired the meeting.

Also attending were leaders of the Central Economic Commission; representatives of ministries, branches, a number of Committees of the National Assembly, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, People's Committees of a number of provinces and centrally run cities and leaders of Departments, Offices and Institutes of ministries and branches.

According to the report at the meeting, the process of drafting the Socio-Economic Report was urgently and seriously deployed right after the 9th Conference of the Party Central Committee.

Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Head of the Socio-Economic Subcommittee, the Editorial Team has clearly assigned specific tasks to the members of the Team participating in developing the Socio-Economic Report on the basis of the Outline approved by the 9th Central Conference, and at the same time, carried out research on a number of specialized topics in important fields.

In addition, to provide more basis for the preparation of the Socio-Economic Report from the practical development of localities, the Socio-Economic Subcommittee and the Standing Editorial Board organized working delegations to work with localities in the regions: Red River Delta, Northern Midlands and Mountains, North Central and Central Coast, and Central Highlands.

The Socio-Economic Report has been developed and completed step by step through many drafts, and at the same time, compared and based on the drafts of the Political Report to promptly update the contents, ensuring consistency between the two Reports.

Participating in the discussion, the members of the Editorial Board assessed that the draft Socio-Economic Report basically covered quite comprehensively the issues in the contents from assessing the current situation, forecasting the context, situation and proposing directions, tasks and solutions for the period 2026-2030, in which they raised new and breakthrough viewpoints, orientations and solutions to promote rapid, effective and sustainable socio-economic development, with the spirit of determination to complete the main goals and targets by 2030 as set out in the Strategy.

The comments have added comments and assessments on the current situation, context, and situation and proposed main directions and solutions for sectors and fields as well as for general overall issues in the socio-economic development of the whole country.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment, Head of the Editorial Team assigned the Editorial Team Standing Committee to receive comments from Editorial Team members to complete the draft Socio-Economic Report and prepare to submit to the Socio-Economic Subcommittee and the Politburo.
