Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Finance to urgently establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to check the compliance with the law on price declaration, price posting and selling at listed prices of tourist accommodation service establishments in the province on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.

Thereby, promptly detecting and correcting shortcomings in state management, and at the same time strictly handling violations according to the provisions of law, in order to create a healthy business environment for organizations and individuals doing business in accommodation services.

The Provincial People's Committee also requires checking the correct authority, functions, tasks, powers and legal procedures.

The inspection team must ensure that the inspection content is focused and key, meeting the requirements of state management at all levels, sectors and the socio-economic development of the province, while not affecting the business activities of the inspected business establishments.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested the inspection team to report the results and propose handling content before May 5.

Currently, Nha Trang City ranks 4th in the list of domestic tourist destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

According to the survey, the number of guests booking rooms at hotels is increasing, the room occupancy rate of many accommodation establishments has reached 75% or more. Resorts in Bai Dai, hotels along Nha Trang beach have room occupancy rate of about 90%.

Mr. Vu Trong Thuc, Sales Director of Champa Island Nha Trang Resort - Resort Hotel & Spa, said that the peak days of April 30 and May 1 were over 90% booked. The high occupancy rate was due to the stable number of Korean and Chinese tourists, in addition to the sharp increase in domestic tourists during the holiday.

"The highlight this year is that guests from Dak Lak, the Central Highlands provinces and Ho Chi Minh City have booked rooms dramatically. I think that the convenience of transportation such as the expansion of National Highway 26 and the highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Van Ninh has encouraged families to use personal vehicles for vacation. The current trend of domestic guests is not to book long in advance but often arrange work before booking rooms. Therefore, we still leave a certain number of rooms to welcome this flow of domestic guests" - Mr. Thuc said.

According to experts, Khanh Hoa with more than 1,200 accommodation establishments and about 60,000 rooms is enough to meet the current demand for accommodation of domestic and international tourists. Room shortages are unlikely to occur, so tourists can rest assured.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued an official dispatch requesting businesses to strengthen measures to ensure service for tourists during the holidays.

Accordingly, the department requires strict implementation of regulations on price registration, price posting and selling at the correct listed price; maintaining service quality, ensuring security and safety conditions for tourists; focusing on fire prevention and fighting; improving the quality of entertainment services.

At the same time, it is necessary to implement the Code of Civilized Conduct in Tourism; comply with regulations on traffic flow, parking vehicles and boats in the right places to limit congestion...

A representative of Cam Ranh International Airport said that from April 29 to May 5, the expected take-off and landing volume is 886 flights, an average of 126 flights/day. This volume is an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2024 and an increase of 15% compared to the current flight week.

Of which, this airport serves 526 international flights and 360 domestic flights. Passengers are expected to serve about 145,000 passengers (an increase of 4% in the same period in 2024 and an increase of 15% compared to the current flight week), of which serving 90,000 international passengers and 55,000 domestic passengers.
