Since the early morning of April 30, security work for the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day has been tightened in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.
Authorities have simultaneously deployed checkpoints and set up security fences on many important routes leading to the parade area.
All walkways and lanes are strictly controlled, people and vehicles are not allowed to move into the main ceremony area, except for forces on duty and issued with separate badges.
Along with that, the police, military, mobile police and civil defense forces are on duty 24/7, ensuring absolute safety, order and traffic stability for the national event.
According to the reporter's records at 1:00 a.m. on April 30, on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street (District 1), security forces set up barricades from dawn, strictly controlling people and vehicles to ensure absolute safety for the area where the parade and march took place.
At 1:10 a.m., the Chemical Corps was present at the key route, beginning to carry out the task of ensuring maximum security and safety for the event.
At key locations, solid barriers were set up, and modern security equipment was also installed, including ID scanners to control people entering and exiting the ceremony area.
Security forces guide people to scan their ID cards at the security check machine.
Security checks and screening measures have been increased to the highest level in preparation for the important event.
At nearly 3 a.m., at the entrance to the parade area around the Independence Palace, authorities urgently controlled security entry and exit.
Riot police are on duty in front of the barricaded area. Currently, the main security gates give priority to parades, marching groups, and art troupes.
The atmosphere of urgent and serious preparation showed the close coordination and sense of responsibility of the entire force to bring a safe, solemn and meaningful celebration.
