On April 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province coordinated with the People's Committee of U Minh district to organize the Ca Mau province composite hull racing tournament.

This year's composite hull race in U Minh district had the participation of more than 80 athletes from Bac Lieu, Long An, Kien Giang, Ca Mau provinces and Can Tho city.

Mr. Do Dang Khoa, Director of the Sports Training and Competition Center of Ca Mau province, said this is one of the cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

"This is not only a useful playground but also an opportunity for athletes who are passionate about racing with composite hulls in the Mekong Delta and districts in Ca Mau province to meet, exchange, learn and share experiences with each other" - Mr. Khoa commented.

After many hours of exciting competition, the first prize of the race went to athlete Ly Tuong Duy from Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province; second prize went to athlete Nguyen Chi Dien from Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province; athlete Vo Van Ly from Long An province won third prize…

On the same day, the People's Committee of Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province organized a sampan racing competition with the participation of 33 teams. This is one of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
