Hanoi women radiantly celebrate 50 years of North-South unity

The Women's Union at all levels has linked the celebration activities with promoting the implementation of a special emulation campaign launched by the Women's Union in early 2025 to celebrate the country's major holidays.

Notably, the city organized the exchange program "Truong Son Legend", met and presented gifts to the Truong Son female driver platoon, female former youth volunteers, and wives of severely wounded soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Along with that, the Association organized a working delegation and authorized the Women's Union of districts, towns to visit and present 227 gifts to 47 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 180 Association officials who are mothers, wives of martyrs, female war invalids, female former youth volunteers, wives of seriously wounded soldiers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country, liberate the South, contributing to the great victory of Spring 1975, with a total value of 230 million VND.

Joining the general competitive atmosphere of the city, the Women's Union bases, cadres, members, and women of districts, towns launched a general environmental cleaning campaign "Green Weekend"; at the same time, propagandizing and mobilizing people to dispose of household waste on time and in the right place, ensuring environmental sanitation in living spaces as well as surrounding areas. In particular, women's union members throughout the city performed folk dances to the medley "The Country is Full of Joy" and "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City".

In addition, district, town and grassroots levels visited and presented 848 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, female former youth volunteers... worth 460 million VND; handed over 3 charity houses worth 130 million VND to 3 women's association members.

The Association at all levels visited, presented 1,075 gifts and handed over 3 charity houses to policy families with a total value of 820 million VND.

In addition, cadres, members and women chose red outfits (the color of the National Flag) when participating in activities in public places and events organized by local units and units, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
