Right after the first draw point along the route, Nguyen Nhut Phat and Huynh Nguyen Dang Khoa (Military Zone 7) successfully separated from the group. No longer aiming to compete for the final titles, the duo coordinated smoothly, continuously increasing the gap with the large group behind.

During the remaining journey, both took turns winning prizes along the way, before maintaining a gap of more than 4 minutes to reach the finish line. In the decisive sprint, Nguyen Nhat Phat showed his superiority, defeating Huynh Nguyen Dang Khoa to win the stage for the first time at this year's Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup.

"Initially, my goal was just to "hunt" for prizes along the way, while the whole team focused on supporting Nick Kergozou to compete for a stage win on the occasion of his birthday. But when I saw the gap widening, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to compete for victory at the finish line. I am very happy and excited with this first stage win" - Nguyen Nhut Phat shared.

Third place in this stage was Nguyen Pham Quoc Khang (Pelio Kenda Dong Nai), thanks to a strong acceleration from the large group.

Meanwhile, the overall yellow jersey was still firmly held by Mikhail Fokin (Loc Troi An Giang Group) even though the large group finished more than 4 minutes behind the two leading riders.

Other titles also remained unchanged: Nguyen Hoang Sang (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai) kept the Orange Jersey for the best Vietnamese racer, Nick Kergozou (620 Vinh Long Agriculture) kept the Green Jersey for the sprint king, Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7) kept the White Jersey for the best young racer and Savva Novikov (Binh Minh Binh Duong Plastic) continued to own the Red Dot Jersey for the mountain king.

Tomorrow (April 30), the racers will compete in stage 25 - the final stage - with a 139 km route from Tay Ninh to Thong Nhat Hall (HCMC), concluding the more than one month journey of the 2025 HCMC Television Cup.
