The Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen underpass (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) is one of the important items of package 9 of the Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road construction project. After more than 1.5 years of construction, the Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen underpass project with an investment of more than 200 billion VND is basically completed and is expected to open to traffic on August 10.

Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen underpass is 400m long, 9m wide with 2 lanes.

According to Dan Tri reporter, the tunnel has been completed with asphalt carpet and painted lines. Lighting system is also installed from the access road to the inside of the tunnel. Outside the tunnel entrance, workers are painting the walls. Another group of workers was assigned to complete the painting of markings at the tunnel entrances.

The sidewalk around the Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen underpass was also completed by workers on the afternoon of August 8.

This project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board).

Cong Hoa Street (Tan Binh District) was once assessed by the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Traffic Management Center to be overloaded by 150% compared to its capacity. The construction of an underpass at the intersection of Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen in particular or the road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan to Cong Hoa in general will reduce traffic congestion and conflicts for the gateway area of ​​Tan Son Nhat airport.

After the tunnel is opened, vehicles will travel in the direction of Phan Thuc Duyen - Thang Long - Cong Hoa instead of having to travel on Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa as before. This will help reduce traffic pressure for the gateway area of ​​Tan Son Nhat airport through Lang Cha Ca roundabout.
