The project to connect Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa streets (Tan Binh district) has a total investment of approximately 4,848 billion VND. The goal of this project is to build a road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan street with Cong Hoa street, directly linking to Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The route has a total length of over 4 km, with 6 lanes and a design speed of 50 km/h. The route includes an overpass in front of Terminal 3 with a total length of 988 m and a cross-section of 17 m (4 lanes), and two underpasses: one at the intersection of Phan Thuc Duyet Street and Tran Quoc Hoan Street with a total length of 400 m and a cross-section of 9 m (2 lanes), and another at the intersection of Truong Chinh Street and Tan Ky Tan Quy Street with a total length of 350 m and a cross-section of 9 m (2 lanes).
The Phan Thuc Duyet - Tran Quoc Hoan underpass project, which is about to open to traffic, has a budget of approximately 200 billion VND. After the underpass opens, vehicles can travel from Phan Thuc Duyet - Thang Long - turn left onto Cong Hoa street, instead of converging at the Lang Cha Ca roundabout as before.
The road project connecting Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa streets (Tan Binh district) is one of Ho Chi Minh City's key transportation projects.
The project investor aims to complete the road by the end of this year to be ready to connect with the T3 terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (expected to be completed and put into operation on April 30, 2025).
These projects play a particularly important role in helping to alleviate traffic congestion in and around Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
