The project of connecting road between Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa streets (Tan Binh district) has a total investment of about 4,848 billion VND. The goal of this project is to build a road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa streets, connecting directly to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The route has a total length of more than 4 km, a scale of 6 lanes with a design speed of 50 km/h. On the route, there is an overpass in front of Terminal T3 with a total length of 988 m, a cross-section of 17 m (4 lanes) and 2 underpasses at the intersection of Phan Thuc Duyen Street - Tran Quoc Hoan Street with a total length of 400 m, a cross-section of 9 m (2 lanes) and at the intersection of Truong Chinh Street - Tan Ky Tan Quy Street with a total length of 350 m, a cross-section of 9 m (2 lanes).
The Phan Thuc Duyen - Tran Quoc Hoan underpass project, which is about to open to traffic, will cost about 200 billion VND. After the underpass opens, vehicles can go from Phan Thuc Duyen - Thang Long - turn left to Cong Hoa, instead of concentrating on Lang Cha Ca roundabout as before.
The road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa (Tan Binh district) is one of the key traffic projects of Ho Chi Minh City.
The project investor aims to complete the route by the end of this year to be ready to connect with the T3 terminal project - Tan Son Nhat International Airport (expected to be completed and put into operation on April 30, 2025).
These projects play a particularly important role in helping to solve the traffic overload situation in the areas inside and outside Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
