
During their visit and working trip from August 4th to 10th, the Hai Phong City delegation, led by Party Secretary Le Tien Chau, visited and worked with the Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce; Shenzhen University; the China Special Economic Zone Research Center; and Shenzhen Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company.
During a visit and working session with the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce on August 5th, Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau shared: In recent years, with its advantageous geographical location and transportation infrastructure, Hai Phong has consistently been one of the localities with the highest growth rates in the country, maintaining double-digit growth. Hai Phong is also a bright spot in attracting FDI and consistently ranks among the top in the country, becoming an attractive destination for large corporations and domestic and foreign businesses.
Regarding investment attraction potential, in addition to the Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone and 14 industrial parks currently operating effectively, Hai Phong is actively establishing 15 more industrial parks to be ready to attract new investors, including those from China. “We hope to attract investors and businesses interested in and with potential in fields such as electronics and high technology, port and logistics services, trade, tourism … from China in general, and Shenzhen in particular, to survey and invest in Hai Phong. Hai Phong City is committed to accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for Chinese businesses and investors during their research, surveying, and investment process in Hai Phong. Your success is our city's success,” Mr. Le Tien Chau emphasized.
The Shenzhen Federation of Commerce (FSC) was established in February 2012. The FSC's mission is to connect businesses from East and West and nurture global business leaders. To date, the FSC has 100 member companies and its total assets exceed 14 trillion RMB.

Working with Shenzhen Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company (Shenzhen Holdings has a member company, Shen Viet Investment Joint Venture Company Limited, the investor of An Duong Industrial Park, Hai Phong City), the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and Shen Viet Investment Joint Venture Company Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to support the implementation of Shen Viet's industrial real estate investment consulting center in Hai Phong City.
The leaders of Hai Phong City requested that Tham Viet Company cooperate with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to ensure the company's consulting center operates effectively and successfully attracts more Chinese investors to Hai Phong.
The leaders of Hai Phong City requested the company to continue focusing on expanding investment projects and attracting investment to Hai Phong City; supporting Hai Phong businesses in accessing the Chinese market; seeking partners, promoting investment, tourism, services, and trade; Hai Phong City committed to creating the best possible conditions for Chinese businesses in general and those from Shenzhen in particular.
On the same day, the Hai Phong City delegation visited and worked at the China Special Economic Zone Research Center, Shenzhen University, Guangdong Province. The China Special Economic Zone Research Center is a key research institution in the fields of Science, Social Sciences and Humanities – the only academic research institution focusing on Special Economic Zone issues.

In order to expand economic development space and attract investment, Hai Phong City is also studying the establishment of a 20,000-hectare Southern Hai Phong Coastal Economic Zone with projects such as Tien Lang International Airport, Nam Do Son Port, a Free Trade Zone, industrial parks, industrial clusters, and new urban areas.
Therefore, Hai Phong City hopes that the China Special Economic Zone Research Center will share its experience regarding special economic zones, free trade zones, and development models in Shenzhen. This experience will help Hai Phong in promoting the establishment of a free trade zone in the near future…
