To date, Hai Duong has established 17 industrial parks with a total area of ​​over 2,700 hectares, of which 12 have had their infrastructure built and are operating; 5 industrial parks are currently undergoing land clearance and infrastructure construction. 61 industrial clusters with a total area of ​​over 3,200 hectares are ready to meet the diverse needs of investors exploring investment opportunities in the province.

Continuing their program in another European country, on July 29th, the Hai Duong provincial delegation worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and the Legacoop National Cooperative Alliance to call for investment cooperation and tourism development.

During the working sessions, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Trieu The Hung, provided an overview of the socio-economic development, environment, and investment attraction policies of Hai Duong province.

Over the years, Hai Duong province's economy has continuously developed, with an average economic growth rate of 8.89% during the 2021-2024 period (higher than the national average). In the first six months of 2024, the province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 10% (ranking 7th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide). Hai Duong is one of the leading provinces in the country in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).

Particularly highlighting the province's tourism potential and strengths, Mr. Trieu The Hung stated that Hai Duong currently has four special national historical sites: the Con Son - Kiet Bac historical site (Chi Linh), the An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong complex (Kinh Mon); the Mao Dien Confucian Temple and the historical and architectural site of Xua Temple - Giam Pagoda - Bia Temple (all in Cam Giang district).

Ambassador Duong Hai Hung stated that Italian businesses have a strong advantage in investing in Vietnam's textile and footwear supporting industries in general, and Hai Duong province in particular. This is an area where Italy has strengths in technology and experience to take advantage of the benefits offered by the EVFTA. The Ambassador also informed that Vietnam plans to open a direct flight route to Italy in the near future.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province believes this is an advantage for Hai Duong and other provinces and cities in Vietnam to export agricultural products to Europe, especially high-quality products.
