Based on the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses will simultaneously adjust petroleum prices from 3:00 p.m. today (March 27).

In today's adjustment period, prices of all types of gasoline and oil (except fuel oil) are adjusted up compared to the previous adjustment period.

Specifically, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 340 VND/liter, the selling price is 20,420 VND/liter.

Similarly, the price of E5 gasoline was also adjusted up by 340 VND/liter, the selling price is at 20,030 VND/liter.

Diesel price was adjusted up by 320 VND/liter, selling price at 18,210 VND/liter.

In today's management session, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance continued not to use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products.

In the most recent adjustment period (March 20), the price of RON 95 gasoline was adjusted up by 440 VND/liter, the selling price was 20,080 VND/liter.

E5 gasoline price was also adjusted up by 410 VND/liter, selling price up to 19,690 VND/liter.

Meanwhile, diesel price remains unchanged at VND17,890/liter.

Regarding the petroleum market, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently issued Circular No. 18 amending, supplementing, and abolishing a number of regulations in circulars regulating petroleum trading. This is to conform to the management practices and petroleum trading activities in Vietnam.

Notably, this circular abolishes regulations on interdisciplinary teams to manage gasoline prices, regulations on methods for calculating base prices, mechanisms for forming, managing, and using the Price Stabilization Fund and managing gasoline prices.

The management agency also added regulations on the mechanism for managing gasoline prices. Specifically, based on data on the elements constituting the base price of gasoline according to regulations and written opinions on gasoline price management from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announces the base price and selling price of gasoline.

In addition, Circular 18 also adds regulations on reporting on the use of petroleum warehouses, applicable to key traders and distributors who own petroleum warehouses for lease and those who rent petroleum warehouses; assigns state management responsibility for the use of warehouses.

Domestic gasoline prices are expected to increase for the second consecutive time . Domestic gasoline prices tomorrow (March 27) may increase for the second consecutive time. If the Price Stabilization Fund is not affected, gasoline prices may increase by about 380-430 VND/liter, while diesel prices will increase less.
