
This is a sports event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), International Labor Day May 1 and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).


In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of Ba Dinh District People's Committee Pham Thi Diem emphasized that, after many years of organization, the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace has affirmed its position as a typical mass sports movement, with wide influence, attracting hundreds of thousands of people from all levels, sectors, localities, armed forces, schools, businesses and foreigners living in Vietnam to participate. The run is not only to train physical strength, improve community health, but also a vivid symbol of the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", of the love for peace, friendship and solidarity between the people of Hanoi and international friends.

Vice Chairwoman of Ba Dinh District People's Committee Pham Thi Diem said that after the launching ceremony of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 on March 17, 2025, 13/13 wards with more than 40 units of civil servants, armed forces, wards and schools organized a grassroots inspection run with a total of 12,500 people.

The final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace 2025 in Ba Dinh district attracted more than 2,500 officials, civil servants, armed forces, students... from 52 units in the district to participate, continuing to strongly affirm the development of the sports movement in Ba Dinh district.
At this year's district-level finals, Ba Dinh has selected nearly 400 athletes from junior high schools, high schools, officials, civil servants, and armed forces in the district to compete. The athletes compete in 6 categories: Junior high school (male, female); high school (male, female); civil servants and armed forces (male, female).


In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded First Prizes to the following individuals: Middle school: To Khanh Dan (female, Experimental Middle School), Nguyen Huy Duong (male, Experimental Middle School); high school: Nguyen Ha Thu (female, Phan Dinh Phung High School), Nguyen Gia Thinh (male, Pham Hong Thai High School); civil servants and armed forces: Hoang Thi Hien (female, Central Lung Hospital), Nguyen Hanh Quang (male, Nguyen Trai Middle School).
