Head of the Tax Department of Region I, Vu Manh Cuong, said that by shifting from the mindset of “administrative management” to “service”, the Tax Department of Region I prioritizes and places the role of supporting people and businesses above all else. Therefore, the main content of the dialogue is to guide and answer questions about tax policies, reform tax administrative procedures and tax refunds.

After the introduction of tax policies, associations and businesses asked questions related to value added tax refunds; salary and wage costs of foreigners sent to work in Vietnam; difficulties in determining costs;... The Branch Director and representatives of specialized departments, tax teams, and experts answered fully.

Many difficulties and problems of associations, businesses and taxpayers have been resolved by the Tax Department of Region I, or will be recommended to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.

Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Hoang Quang Phong assessed that the conference is an opportunity for tax authorities to promptly receive and answer questions from associations, businesses, and taxpayers, creating favorable conditions for businesses in the production and business process.

Regular interaction between tax authorities and associations helps build mutual trust. Therefore, the model of direct dialogue conferences combined with online conferences should be organized regularly by tax authorities.

Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tax Consultants Association Nguyen Dinh Cu said that the tax authority has consulted on policy mechanisms and created a favorable startup environment to increase the number of newly established enterprises and encourage business households to convert to enterprises.

From a business perspective, dialogue conferences to remove difficulties and obstacles for taxpayers are an important and effective support channel that is of interest to the business community.
