According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather on August 9th and 10th in Northern Vietnam will be hot and sunny, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Specifically, southern Son La , Hoa Binh, and the Northern Delta will experience rising temperatures, with hot and intensely hot weather, and maximum temperatures generally ranging from 35-38 degrees Celsius.

During these two days, Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen experienced hot and intensely hot weather, with maximum temperatures ranging from 36-38 degrees Celsius, and exceeding 38 degrees Celsius in some areas. Showers and thunderstorms were expected in some places in the late afternoon and evening.

From around August 11th, the widespread heatwave in Northern Vietnam is likely to end. From around August 12th-13th, the heatwave in Central Vietnam may gradually subside.
