Youth Union members of Dien Bien province light candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

NDO - With deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification, on the evening of April 28, thousands of youth union members of Dien Bien province organized into many groups to go to martyrs' cemeteries and memorials to offer incense and flowers on each grave.

Mr. Dang Thanh Huy, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union, said: At exactly 7:00 p.m. tonight, youth union organizations throughout the province organized into groups to visit heroes and martyrs at martyr cemeteries, and martyr steles, monuments, and memorial houses throughout the province.

At the A1 Martyrs Cemetery (in the center of Dien Bien Phu city), hundreds of youth union members lined up quietly to each grave, lighting candles and offering incense; no one spoke to anyone, but they all walked very quietly as if not to "wake up" the men in the quiet night.
