Here are some of the cool new features expected to appear on the iPhone 17 Pro.
Aluminum frame
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo are rumored to have an aluminum frame, instead of the titanium frame on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro models, or stainless steel like the models from iPhone X to iPhone 14 Pro.
The back of the device may also feature a “part aluminum, part glass” hybrid design. The frame is likely to feature a combination of aluminum and titanium.
Rectangular camera cluster
According to a recent leak, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max duo are rumored to feature a "larger, rectangular camera cluster" made of aluminum.

Up to now, there are conflicting opinions about the lens arrangement on the new generation of iPhone, which can still keep the triangular shape or be rearranged horizontally or vertically.
Some rumors also suggest that Apple will change the rear camera cluster design to a horizontal bar for the iPhone 17 Pro series, but according to Macrumors' source, the device will continue to use the traditional triangular camera cluster design.
A19 Pro Chip
The iPhone 17 Pro models are expected to use Apple's next-generation A19 Pro chip, manufactured on TSMC's third-generation 3nm process, offering improvements in performance and power efficiency over current iPhone models.
Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip
Leaked news says that at least one iPhone 17 model is equipped with a Wi-Fi 7 chip designed by Apple itself, instead of provided by Broadcom.
However, another report also said that this chip will still support Wi-Fi 6E like the iPhone 16 models.
24MP front camera
All four iPhone 17 models are said to feature an upgraded front camera with a resolution of 24MP, compared to the 12MP front camera on the iPhone 16 models.
Up to now, "Apple" has often "favored" upgrading the rear camera more, but this time selfie enthusiasts can celebrate with "selfies" with quality equal to the rear camera.
48MP telephoto camera
The iPhone 17 Pro models are rumored to feature a 48MP telephoto camera, an upgrade from the 12MP telephoto camera on the iPhone 16 Pro models.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the telephoto camera on the iPhone 17 Pro Max will use a 48MP, 1/2.6-inch sensor, an improvement over the 12MP 1/3.1-inch of the iPhone 16 Pro.
12GB RAM
Initial information about the increased RAM to 12GB will be reserved for the iPhone 17 Pro Max only, but will later expand to the iPhone 17 Pro as well.
This upgrade improves the performance of Apple Intelligence features and multitasking. All four current iPhone 16 models only have 8GB of RAM.
Smaller Dynamic Island for iPhone 17 Pro Max
A source from expert Jeff Pu said that a change exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro Max model is that the Dynamic Island will be significantly narrowed, thanks to Apple applying new metalens technology to the Face ID system.
New metalens technology allows Apple to reduce the size of the Face ID system without reducing usability, while also expanding the display space on the screen.
The iPhone 17 generation is expected to be launched by Apple in September 2025, according to the company's annual tradition.
