The sample exam is designed according to the 2018 general education curriculum (the new curriculum). This is an important basis for candidates to orient their preparation for the exams from 2025 onwards.
The exam consists of 3 parts, including 2 compulsory sections of the HSA exam: Mathematics - Data Processing (50 questions) and Literature - Language (50 questions).
In the third section, candidates are allowed to choose between taking either Science or English within a 60-minute time limit. This is the first time an English section has appeared in the HSA exam.
For the Science section, candidates choose 3 out of 5 topics: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, and Geography. Each topic has 17 questions. The English section has 50 multiple-choice questions.
