On the morning of August 14, in Hanoi, the Embassy of Pakistan held a ceremony to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Pakistan's Independence Day (August 14, 1947 - August 14, 2024). Mr. Kohdayar Marri, Ambassador of Pakistan to Vietnam, presided over the ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were: Journalist, Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine; journalist, poet Huu Viet, Head of the Culture and Arts Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Vietnam Writers Association...
At the ceremony, Mr. Marri shared: August 14 is Pakistan's Independence Day, commemorating the day Pakistan gained independence and was declared a sovereign nation after the United Kingdom ended colonial rule in 1947. Pakistan officially separated from India, becoming an independent nation.


According to the custom in Pakistan, all government offices and homes are decorated with lights and flowers. Everyone decorates their homes. Shopping malls and government offices are decorated with national flags, slogans, lights and balloons, especially in blue and white (like the national flag). Every year on this day, cities and villages across Pakistan become bustling.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Marri also sent his best wishes to the delegates attending; and thanked the Government and people of Vietnam for always accompanying and supporting Pakistan throughout its establishment and development process.

At the ceremony, delegates attended the Pakistan flag-raising ceremony, met, interacted, chatted, and sent wishes of luck, happiness, and peace.
