Accordingly, the second round of the 2025 Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) exam will be held in three sessions: session 1 on the morning of March 8th, session 2 on the afternoon of March 8th, and session 3 on the morning of March 9th, with nearly 19,000 candidates registered to take the exam.
The exam was held simultaneously at 30 testing locations, including 17 in Hanoi and 13 in other localities such as: Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Da Nang.
The exam was successfully conducted with a participation rate of over 99%. The grading process was promptly implemented afterward.
Here is a summary of the grading results for the second round:
The highest score in the second round was 92.69/100 . Four candidates scored above 90 points; 67 candidates scored above 80 points; and 847 candidates scored above 70 points. The average score for the second round was 54.39/100.
The top student of the second round in 2025 will once again come from Bac Ninh Specialized High School, the same school as the top student of the first round.

Previously, the first TSA exam session of 2025 was held in two shifts, on the afternoon of January 18th and the morning of January 19th, with nearly 14,000 candidates registering to take the exam. The highest score of the first session was... 98.61/100 - also the highest score ever achieved in the exam. The top scorer of the first round of the 2025 exam is Vu Minh Duc, a student from Bac Ninh Specialized High School.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced that starting in 2025, it will issue exam result certificates to candidates in the form of electronic signatures, which will be sent directly to the candidate's exam registration account on the system.

The results of the Thinking Skills Assessment Exam (TSA) will be used in university admissions for the 2025 admissions season, with over 50 universities using the exam. The method for converting TSA scores to the same admission score as other methods will be determined by each university using the results. Specifically for Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the weighting for TSA scores is expected to be higher and given priority in the conversion formula.
