Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong reported on the results of the Southeast Asian Political Parties Roundtable, the first of its kind within the framework of the AFF. This event took place in an open, frank, and constructive atmosphere, with the active participation of 11 political parties from Southeast Asian countries, along with numerous scholars and experts from the region.

The delegates agreed that strengthening dialogue, consolidating trust and mutual understanding among political parties is essential to enhancing ASEAN solidarity, improving the region's resilience, and promoting ASEAN's central role in the context of a rapidly changing regional and international environment.
The delegates also put forward many concrete initiatives aimed at strengthening trust, deepening cooperation, and supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
Concluding the ASEAN Cities Leaders' Meeting 2026, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang stated that the meeting was a success, with the participation of over 250 delegates representing more than 25 cities and localities from ASEAN member countries, along with numerous scholars and experts from within and outside the region.

Delegates highly appreciated Hanoi's initiative in organizing the conference, considering it a practical forum to enhance dialogue, connectivity, and experience sharing among ASEAN cities.
ASEAN cities share the understanding that urban areas are playing an increasingly important role in promoting economic growth, innovation, digital transformation, green development, and improving the quality of life for their citizens.
Through in-depth discussions, the conference identified two key directions, in which technology and digital infrastructure can only be effective when coupled with modern governance capabilities and better serving the needs of the people.
Cities need to prioritize the development of green infrastructure, enhance resilience to climate change, and promote sustainable development solutions, with people at the center of all response, adaptation, and development strategies.
Translate "Made in ASEAN" to "Made by ASEAN"
In his closing remarks at the AFF, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung stated that the forum had completed all its agenda items with many practical results. Equally important were the insightful presentations and sharing sessions by the speakers.
He noted that the issues raised on the agenda are truly important to each ASEAN member state and its partners.

The exchanges in the forum were substantive and creative, providing valuable insights for ASEAN leaders to consider. Delegates discussed a wide range of issues, including long-term challenges such as ASEAN resilience and cohesion, conflict prevention, and the transformation of growth and development models.
The discussions emphasized the inclusive use of artificial intelligence and energy security; there were very innovative ideas to promote the shift from “Made in ASEAN” to “Made by ASEAN”.
Through these exchanges, the spirit of community was more evident than ever. The sharing from leaders and scholars demonstrated a deep concern for regional security and the importance of adhering to and respecting international law, both of which are essential elements for development.
The delegates also shared their commitment to the future of ASEAN, its values, and its strategic role.

"We see a convergence of viewpoints within ASEAN regarding current challenges. Strengthening the region's resilience and adaptability is a high priority for us, and the speakers have emphasized the need to build a long-term strategic environment, not just a short-term response one," he stressed.
Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his delight at the attention given to this year's forum and the friendship and cooperation that the speakers, delegates, friends, partners, and colleagues have shown towards Vietnam.
