Users can now download iOS 18.2.1 by going to the Settings app -> General -> Software Update. The new release has build number 2A3798.
Alongside iOS 18.2.1, Apple also released iPadOS 18.2.1. This is not too surprising because iPadOS is mainly based on iOS 18 with some features specific to tablets. However, there are still no updates for Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro or HomePod users.
In the release notes, Apple notes that “This update provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all iPhone users.” However, the company did not disclose details about the specific issues fixed in this version. At the same time, there are no major new features expected from iOS 18.2.1.
In addition, “Apple” is also preparing for iOS 18.3, with the first beta released in December last year, while the next betas can be released at any time. The full version of iOS 18.3 is expected to be released at the end of January.
