DNVN - On August 1st, Da Nang Port held an awards ceremony to honor collectives and groups that had successfully researched and applied initiatives and solutions to their production and business activities, generating over 7 billion VND in profit for the unit in the first six months of 2024.
The most notable example is the "eCPS – Automated Vehicle Monitoring System for Gantry Cranes" solution by the team of authors Duong Duc Xuan, Phan Bao Loc, Luu Van Dung, and Le Ha Nam .
This is an artificial intelligence software solution designed to replace manual human work and existing CPS systems. The goal of eCPS is to create a more accurate, high-speed, yet streamlined vehicle tracking system than traditional systems, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.
Da Nang Port awarded commendations to collectives and groups with innovative solutions that benefited businesses during the first six months of 2024.
In addition, the team of authors Phan Nam Hoang and Nguyen Huu Anh, with their solution of fabricating the rubber clutch assembly for Krupp cranes as a replacement for purchasing new ones, and proactively managing repairs while reducing order waiting times, saved Da Nang Port 300 million VND.
The alternative solution of replacing rubber conveyor belts with wood chip conveyor belts, developed by authors Ho Thai Thanh and Phan Nam Hoang, contributes to reducing costs and increasing production and business efficiency. It also helps ensure stable operation of equipment, does not affect the overall production and business process, and benefits the Port by nearly 130 million VND...
Mr. Duong Duc Xuan, Deputy General Director and Chairman of the Science and Technology Council of Da Nang Port, stated that the goal of Da Nang Port is to become a modern port in terms of information technology, pioneering the research and application of new technologies from around the world in port operation and management, and becoming the smartest port in the Vietnamese seaport system.
For many years, Da Nang Port has achieved great success in the emulation movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements; pioneering research and effective application of new and modern technologies. In just the first six months of 2024, the unit recognized 35 initiatives, rationalizations, and applications of scientific and technological advancements to overcome difficulties in production, generating benefits worth over 7 billion VND.
