In the spring crop of 2024, Quang Ngai Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with Binh Dinh Agricultural Technical Materials Joint Stock Company to implement the model "Demonstration of New Sun NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology on biomass corn in the spring crop of 2024 in Quang Ngai province".
The model was deployed on a total area of 2,250m2 in Duc Phu commune (Mo Duc district, Quang Ngai province). In addition, the implementing unit also built a control field with an area of 250m2.
In the model field, use New Sun NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology: NPK 18-14-6 + 6S + TE and NPK 16-6-18 + 1Mg + TE. The control field uses regular NPK fertilizer 16-16-8.

The crop results showed that the yield of the model field varied from 65.2 - 74.5 tons/ha, higher than the control field by 3.4 - 9.3 tons/ha (equivalent to an increase of 5.2 - 14.3%). Sheath blight in the control field fertilized with conventional NPK fertilizer was more severe than in the model field fertilized with New Sun NPK fertilizer.
Similarly in Binh Dinh province, the model using Eco-Nanomix NPK fertilizer (only using NPK 18-14-6 + 6S + TE), fertilizing once when the corn plant has 5 leaves, gives the highest biomass yield of 72.51 tons/ha. Compared to the control field, it increased by 9.51 tons/ha, equivalent to an increase of 15.1%.
Thus, the model of using new generation NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology for biomass corn plants brought an average yield of 74.1 tons/ha, 14.5% higher than the control, and a net profit of 46.8 million VND/ha, 32.5% higher than the control.
Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Former Deputy Director of the South Central Coast Agricultural Science and Technology Institute explained that the nature of the new generation of fertilizers is nano with enzyme properties and cofactor properties that have the effect of activating the strong activity of inactive enzymes.
"It is used to activate microorganisms, making plants increase their ability to photosynthesize. Enzymes have the ability to retain fertilizer in the soil from being washed away or lost. Enzymes also activate photocatalysts, increasing biomass in plants," said Dr. Phuong.

Through the models using Eco-Nanomix fertilizer technology, Dr. Phuong evaluated that biomass corn plants have good growth and development, with clearer development of stems and leaves compared to the control using conventional NPK fertilizer. At the same time, the ability to resist pests and diseases in the field of the model fields is better than the control fields.
Experts recommend using new generation NPK fertilizer with Eco-Nanomix technology, applied once at the 5-leaf corn stage (for biomass corn) instead of conventional NPK fertilizers in areas with similar conditions.
