Bring the city back to the village

The cultural house of Tan Tien village, Trieu De commune, Lap Thach district is now large and beautiful, fully equipped with speakers, chairs, a volleyball court, lighting, free wifi installed at the village cultural house, and a variety of sports and exercise equipment...

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Secretary of the Tan Tien village Party cell, excitedly said: "To achieve this result, in addition to the support of the state, it is mostly the consensus and contribution of the people. Since the cultural house has met the standards of a model new rural area, every day is bustling with children, young people, and the elderly coming to play, exercise, and play sports... the spirit of solidarity of the whole people has been enhanced and increasingly united."

Unlike many purely agricultural areas, here households both produce agriculture, grow ornamental plants and do business, services and trade, bringing in desirable incomes, with over 80% of households being well-off and rich. The average income of people here reaches 62.5 million VND/year, much higher than the average of the commune, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai shared.

People's lives have improved, incomes have been stable, local movements have developed, and the participation of many people has been mobilized. Tan Tien village has actively promoted and launched patriotic emulation movements such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "All people protect a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment"; "Electricity lights up the countryside" ... attracting a large number of people to participate and contribute support.

From 2019 to now, the people of Tan Tien village have contributed over 600 million VND to build new and renovate drainage ditches; planted more than 350 flower trees, over 6,000 string of pearls, painted nearly 100 square meters of murals... In particular, people are aware and responsible for protecting the environment, maintaining security and order, sweeping, trimming, and cleaning the area around their houses, so that the village roads are always clean and beautiful.

Tan Tien is just one of many villages in Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province that are putting on a new coat, in the direction of civilization and modernity. This result is an important premise for localities to continue to strive to develop and build livable villages.

Improve life

Identifying the main goal of the new rural construction program as improving the material and spiritual life of the people, Xuan Loi commune, Lap Thach district has focused on directing the transformation of the agricultural economic structure, reorganizing production in a modern direction, and actively applying new science and technology to production.

In the commune, there are more and more economic models that bring high efficiency such as: The broiler chicken farming model of Mr. Tran Van Tao's household, which brings in hundreds of millions of VND/year; the high-tech model of raising laying hens of Mr. Le Van Thuan's family; the fish farming model with 3-star OCOP certification of Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh's family.

Mr. Tran Hung Vuong, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said that the new rural development program has changed the face of Xuan Loi Commune today. The average income of local people here is 68 million VND/year. Stable economic development has created resources for the commune to invest in building infrastructure systems. Up to now, 100% of commune, village and hamlet roads have been planted with shade trees, green trees, flowers on both sides of the road or green hedges.

Electricity, roads, schools and stations are invested in and built synchronously; 100% of the roads are concreted and hardened, ensuring light - green - clean - beautiful. Schools in the commune all meet national standards; in which, primary schools meet national standards level II. Cultural institutions are invested in and built synchronously.

Mr. Tran Hung Vuong added that out of nearly 400 billion VND for the commune's advanced new rural construction, people have contributed more than 50 billion VND; built new and renovated houses, fences, and auxiliary works worth 285 billion VND; supported and planted over 2,500 trees and flowers of all kinds; built 20 flower models and routes on commune and hamlet roads.

According to the report of Lap Thach District People's Committee, up to now, the district has 3/18 communes meeting the standards of advanced new rural communes, namely Trieu De, Thai Hoa, Xuan Loi; 18/173 villages meeting the standards of model new rural villages. Lap Thach District strives to become a new rural district by 2025.

Mr. Nguyen The Hung, Chairman of the People's Council of Lap Thach district (Vinh Phuc province) said that Lap Thach district determined that the focus of the program to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas is to improve the quality of material and spiritual life of rural people. Therefore, Lap Thach district will step up propaganda, mobilization, promote democracy, and implement the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect".

With support from the state budget, Lap Thach district (Vinh Phuc province) mobilizes maximum local resources, socialized resources, and effectively integrated capital sources from programs and projects in the area, focusing on investment to support production development to increase people's income and living standards, aiming to shorten the gap between rural and urban areas in model rural areas.
