With the theme "New students facing difficulties, there is Tuoi Tre" reaffirms the commitments that Tuoi Tre newspaper has made over the past 21 years: As long as students are facing difficulties, we will continue to find ways to support them!
Over the past 21 years, Tuoi Tre newspaper and its philanthropists have supported 24,597 new students, and more than 219 billion VND (scholarship sponsorship costs, organization costs, gifts, travel support, accommodation for new students, etc.) has been given to all 63 provinces and cities. And there are many other numbers and values that are difficult to measure.
Each scholarship is 15 million VND for new students with difficulties, 20 special scholarships for excellent new students, total value 1 billion VND (each scholarship is 50 million VND/4 years).
The program gives special priority to new students from remote areas, areas that have suffered a lot of damage due to floods, droughts, salinity, and border and island areas. The number of scholarships for each province or city depends on the circumstances of the new students and the total cost contributed by sponsors and readers of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
There are expected to be 12 scholarship awarding points in regions across the country within the framework of this year's program. The starting point will be in Hoi An City (Quang Nam) for new students from Da Nang and Quang Nam, held on September 21.
The remaining awarding points will take place in other provinces and cities. The final scholarship awarding point, concluding the 2024 School Transfer Program in Ho Chi Minh City for new students in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region, is expected to be in November.
