Apple regularly stops signing a version of iOS, usually within a week or two of a new version of iOS being released. When an update is stopped signing, it won’t be able to be installed on an ‌iPhone‌ due to server-side software verification checks.

And this time too, just over a week after releasing the iOS 18.2.1 update, “Apple” has officially locked the iOS 18.2 sign. This policy is to encourage users to update the new operating system for their devices, ensuring the biggest security improvements.

The iOS 18.2 update brings a lot of new Apple Intelligence features to iPhone users, including the ability to create images. Image Playground is a new application to create images based on text descriptions and you can add all kinds of costumes, items, backgrounds, ... Or you can even make your image look like your friends and family members.

The update also integrates ChatGPT for Siri, so the virtual assistant can pass complex requests to OpenAI's chatbot. For iPhone 16 users, iOS 18.2 also adds Visual Intelligence to Camera Control, giving you more information about objects and locations around you.

Thus, when iPhone users have upgraded to the latest iOS 18.2.1 or iOS 18.3 beta version, they will no longer be able to downgrade to iOS 18.2.
