On the morning of August 2nd, Comrade Lai Van Hoan, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, and Chairman of the Council for reviewing and recognizing communes achieving advanced new rural standards and model new rural standards (the Council), chaired a meeting of the Provincial People's Committee to review and recognize two communes as achieving advanced new rural standards: An Hiep (Quynh Phu district) and Dong Hoang (Dong Hung district).
The meeting was attended by members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of the Provincial People's Council who are members of the Council.
According to the survey and assessment results of the dossiers and the level of achievement of advanced new rural commune standards in 2023, two communes, Dong Hoang and An Hiep, achieved 19 out of 19 criteria for advanced new rural communes with high evaluation scores, and many criteria and indicators met or exceeded the provincial criteria for advanced new rural communes in the 2021-2025 period.
These two communes meet all four conditions for recognition as advanced new rural communes: achieving 19 out of 19 criteria in the set of criteria for new rural communes in the 2021-2025 period, and 19 out of 19 criteria in the set of criteria for advanced new rural communes in the 2021-2025 period; having no outstanding debts for basic construction; not having complex security and order issues as regulated by the Ministry of Public Security ; and having a satisfaction rate of local people with the results of advanced new rural construction that meets the requirements as stipulated.
After discussing and analyzing the achievements of each commune, the Council members proceeded to vote. As a result, 100% of the Council members present unanimously agreed to recommend that the Provincial People's Committee recognize Dong Hoang and An Hiep communes as having achieved advanced new rural standards.
Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Council unanimously approved the voting results of the members and requested that the communes, after achieving the advanced new rural area status, continue to focus on improving the criteria, especially the environmental, income, and security and order criteria; and continue to strive to build and perfect model new rural communes.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to expedite the progress of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the province; and urged local leaders to focus on directing and implementing specific contents and solutions suitable to the actual conditions to maintain and improve the quality of advanced new rural area and model new rural area criteria in the most outstanding areas, striving to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in a practical, effective, in-depth, and sustainable manner.
