According to Bloomberg , in previous months, this figure was around 2.2 million barrels per day.
Exports from the ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga, and Novorossiysk have fallen amid a significant decline in oil supplies to China.
In July, Russia's oil exports to China fell to 1.4 million barrels per day, the most significant drop in 2024.
Meanwhile, other major oil-exporting countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United States increased their oil exports to 5.8 million and 4.4 million barrels per day, respectively.
Former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alfred Koch said that a reduction in oil supplies to the world's most populous country could be linked to broader economic problems in Russia.
Bloomberg noted that Moscow's crude oil exports from major ports in the west have decreased, exacerbating the overall decline in global seaborne oil shipments.
