Besides providing organizational support and nutritional products for over 1,500 contestants, Vinamilk, together with the organizing committee, introduced many innovative activities and content with the theme of sustainable development.

The biggest robotics playground for teenagers.
With many innovations from organization to theme, this year's competition saw a significant increase in both quantity and quality, with 488 teams (over 1,500 contestants) participating from 369 primary, secondary, and high schools across 28 provinces and cities nationwide, including Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hanoi , Da Nang, Hue, etc.
Over the two days of August 9th and 10th, the Northern regional finals kicked off with more than 200 participating teams. Following this, the top-performing teams will compete against outstanding representatives from the Central and Southern regions in the national finals.
From there, 16 outstanding teams will be selected to represent Vietnam at the WORLD ROBOT OLYMPIAD 2024, held in Turkey. In addition, the top 20 teams in Group B0 (ages 6-9) will have the opportunity to participate in the International Robotics Innovation Competition in Singapore.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the competition, Mr. Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, Counselor of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, shared: “We are delighted to witness the annual growth in both the number and quality of participants in the competition, demonstrating that the values it brings are being positively received. At the same time, the competition has received the support of local leaders, the education sector, schools, and businesses interested in the development of children and the sustainable future of the planet. We thank everyone for their support.”
Each year, the competition will have a major theme, revolving around issues of global concern and having a significant impact on the younger generation. The 2024 competition was launched with the theme “EARTH ALLIES,” giving contestants the opportunity to explore and create solutions related to sustainable development and environmental protection.

Sharing more about Vinamilk's partnership with this year's competition, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri - CEO of Vinamilk, said: “While mastering technology is an indispensable skill for future global citizens, global climate change is a matter of particular concern and requires the collective action of all of us. These are also the common points that Vinamilk and the ROBOTACON WRO 2024 program are aiming for when organizing the competition with the theme “Earth Allies”.
We hope the competition will help students develop their thinking skills in applying technology and creating solutions to protect the environment and our shared home, Earth – a noble responsibility that young people need to be instilled with from their school days.”

Technology geared toward a sustainable future.
With the theme "Earth Allies," Vinamilk, together with the organizers, designed challenges for groups of students aged 6 to 19 to solve using creative solutions in technology and robotics, such as: Sustainable Agriculture - Green Farm (Beginner); Building a Green City (Intermediate); Protecting Our Home Earth (Advanced).
According to teachers and experts of the competition, the surprising aspect of this year's competition was that the questions not only required students' robotics skills but also partly simulated green solutions being implemented in practice, such as waste collection, recycling of packaging, or reforestation to protect the Earth.
This helps students develop the ability to apply technology to solve problems such as excessive depletion of natural resources, environmental pollution, global warming, and climate change.

Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, stated that sustainable development is both an essential need and a necessity for Vietnam to participate in the global production chain and access the markets of developed countries. To achieve this, it is crucial to pay attention to children and provide education from a young age.
“I highly appreciate this competition for its chosen theme, ‘Earth Allies,’ as well as the organization and the way the questions were formulated, which helps equip the children with knowledge and awareness of protecting the Earth, paying more attention to the environment, and promoting sustainable development. The participation of businesses is also very important because it helps students gain practical access to modern equipment and new technologies being applied in production, creating a beneficial playground for students,” Mr. Cuong assessed.

Another special activity of this year's competition is that finalists will have the opportunity to participate in a field trip to Green Farm dairy farms and Vinamilk milk factories. The trip will help them learn about the application of high technology, robotics, AI, etc., as well as practices related to sustainable development and environmental protection.
