The survey will continue at the Con Son, Kiet Bac (Hai Duong) and Vinh Nghiem ( Bac Giang ) historical sites in the coming days.
The nomination dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac Scenic Landscape Complex is a special project, involving more than 100 domestic and international experts. This is the first time Vietnam has proposed the recognition of a multi-province World Heritage site, encompassing 6 special national historical sites and 32 historical sites spread across Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, and Bac Giang provinces.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, shared: "We have high expectations for the support from the international expert team so that this dossier can be considered and recognized by UNESCO at its 47th session in 2025, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."

Previously, in June 2024, a team of UNESCO/ICOMOS experts conducted a survey at the Bach Dang Stake Fields in Quang Ninh. Important feedback from this survey helped to finalize the nomination dossier.
If recognized, the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac scenic complex would become Vietnam's first World Heritage site encompassing multiple provinces and cities, contributing to elevating Vietnam's cultural standing on the international stage.
