At the 2024 International Science Olympiad in South Korea, Vietnamese students excelled, winning 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 1 special prize.
The Korea International Youth Olympiad 4i (KIYO4i) is an annual international science competition organized by the Women Inventors and Entrepreneurs Association (WWIEA) and sponsored by various international scientific organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Invention Organization (EAPO), aiming to encourage young people to continuously innovate and explore science and technology.
The competition took place from August 4th to 6th, 2024. The Vietnam Physics Society sent three teams of science-loving students from junior and senior high schools across the country to participate in the Team Creativity competition – a category requiring creativity and effective teamwork.

According to information from the Vietnam Physics Society, three Vietnamese student teams from Hanoi , Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Ha Nam achieved outstanding results at the 2024 International Science Olympiad in South Korea.
Accordingly, the Vietnam 2 team won the Gold Medal and the Grand Prix special prize, consisting of the following students: Nguyen Quynh Chi (Luong The Vinh High School, Hanoi), Tran Dieu Huyen (British Academy International Bilingual School Ha Long, Quang Ninh), Hoang Quan (Chu Van An High School, Hanoi), Nguyen Tra My (Hon Gai High School, Quang Ninh), and Pham Nhat Quang (Specialized High School for Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi). The Grand Prix special prize is the most prestigious award, given to the team that meets all the requirements for a practical and creative project.
The Vietnamese Team 1, which won the gold medal, consisted of the following students: Mai Chí Kiên (Hanoi University of Education High School for Gifted Students), Hoàng Thiên Sơn (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students), Lê Việt Linh (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students), Trương Uyển Linh (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi), and Trương Bảo Linh (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
The Vietnamese team 3, which won the silver medal, consisted of the following students: Tran Duc Thai (Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Bac Ninh), Ngo Hoang Anh (Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Bac Ninh), and Hoang Duy Hung (FPT Inter-level High School, Ha Nam).
