On April 29, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in Ho Chi Minh City, the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine and the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam jointly organized an exhibition of propaganda posters "For Vietnam - Por Vietnam".

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of Cuba Salvador Valdes Mesa and delegates attended the ceremony.

The exhibition gathers posters by famous Cuban painters and photographers in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, demonstrating the enthusiastic support, solidarity and attachment of the Cuban people to the Vietnamese people in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Among them, the first poster by a Cuban artist reflecting on the war in Vietnam, by Jesús Forjans Boade, published in the Cuban Visual Arts Magazine, depicting the image of a revolutionary soldier with a fluttering flag and the symbolic phrase: “Vietnam, we are with you” is also on display.

Speaking at the exhibition, Dr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, emphasized: During the resistance war against the American imperialists of the Vietnamese people, the Party, State and People of Cuba always stood shoulder to shoulder, strongly supported both materially and spiritually. The statement of leader Fidel Castro: "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its own blood" has become a great source of encouragement for the Vietnamese army and people...

The solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba is not only crystallized from the strategic decisions of the leaders of the two countries, but also nurtured from the pure, deep, and sincere feelings between the people of the two countries.

In the context of the changing, complex and unpredictable world situation, maintaining, consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Cuba friendship is of special strategic importance. We believe that the Vietnam - Cuba relationship will continue to expand and develop more comprehensively, practically and effectively.
