The program is part of a series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024); and the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.
At the program, leaders, guests, and a large number of officers, soldiers, and citizens recalled the traditions of the early days of the founding of our Army, which marked the beginning of the "Determined to Fight, Determined to Win" tradition, through the sharing of information and perspectives from heroic generals.
Delegates offered incense and flowers in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap and the 34 soldiers of the Vietnam Liberation Propaganda Team.
The opinions expressed at the program will shed light on the maturity and growth of the Vietnam People's Army, the strength of its various branches and corps, and its many glorious victories. At the same time, it will emphasize the role of Party work and political work in ensuring the absolute and direct leadership of the Party over the Army in all aspects, and maintaining the Party's ideological stronghold within the Army.
The program included musical performances praising the glorious Party, the great President Ho Chi Minh, and the homeland, presented by the performing arts team of the Military University of Culture and Arts.
The generals reminisced about the traditions of the early days of our army's founding.
Also during the program, the organizing committee presented gifts to generals and heroes of the People's Armed Forces; policy beneficiaries, meritorious individuals, poor households, and outstanding exemplary students in Tam Kim and Hoa Tham communes, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province; presented "Houses of Compassion" to policy beneficiaries and meritorious individuals, and "Houses of Solidarity" to poor households in Nguyen Binh and Hoa An districts; and presented "Houses of Comradeship" to military personnel in difficult circumstances under the Cao Bang Provincial Military Command.
Through this program, the organizers hope to awaken national pride and self-respect, the fighting spirit and determination to win of the Vietnam People's Army, and the glorious traditions of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; to express gratitude to policy beneficiaries and the people in the two communes of Tam Kim and Hoa Tham, Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province. To promote traditions and create motivation for officers and soldiers throughout the army to enthusiastically compete to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
