On August 14th, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport indicated that from August 15th to 18th, traffic on several roads in the central area of District 1 will be adjusted to facilitate activities commemorating the 55th anniversary of the People's Police implementing President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament; the 79th anniversary of the People's Police Traditional Day; the 19th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security; and the awarding of the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to the City Police.

Many roads will be closed or have restricted traffic for four days, from August 15th to 18th.
Accordingly, from 7 PM to 10 PM on August 15th; and from 5:30 PM to 10 PM on August 16th and 17th, all vehicles are prohibited from circulating on Nguyen Hue Street (the section from Le Loi Street to Ton Duc Thang Street).
Alternative routes: Le Thanh Ton Street → Dong Khoi Street → Ton Duc Thang Street; Ton Duc Thang Street → Ham Nghi Street → Pasteur Street → Le Thanh Ton Street.
From 6 to 9 am on August 17th, all vehicles will be prohibited from circulating on Nguyen Hue Street (the section from Le Thanh Ton Street to Le Loi Street).
Alternative routes: Le Thanh Ton Street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street → Le Loi Street → Nguyen Hue Street; Nguyen Hue Street → Le Loi Street → Pasteur Street → Le Thanh Ton Street.
From 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 18th, all vehicles are prohibited from using the car lane on Le Loi Street (the section from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Ham Nghi Street).
Alternative route: travel on the mixed-traffic lane on Le Loi Street.
Additionally, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on August 17th, traffic will be restricted on Vo Thi Sau Street (section from Truong Dinh Street to Nguyen Thong Street) and Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Street (section from Ly Chinh Thang Street to Dien Bien Phu Street).
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport reminds drivers to obey traffic signals from traffic controllers and the road signage system.
