The program also had the participation of members and former members of the Politburo; Secretaries and former Secretaries of the Party Central Committee; Vice President and former Vice President; Deputy Prime Minister and former Deputy Prime Minister; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; members of the Party Central Committee; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations; leaders of provinces and centrally-run cities.

Also attending were leaders of countries around the world, political parties and international friends such as: General Secretary, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith; President of the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen; Vice President of the Republic of Cuba Salvador Valdés Mesa; Vice President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus Ipatau Vadzim; Minister of Demobilized Military Affairs Bui Kim Giai and the delegation of the Party and State of the People's Republic of China. In addition, there were more than 10,000 spectators watching live.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that April 30, 1975 has gone down in the history of the nation to create a unified, immortal spring.

Today, in the city honored to be named after Uncle Ho, with the consent of the Party and State leaders, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presides over and coordinates the organization of a special art program with the theme "Spring of Reunification" - where the singing echoes from the past to the present and forever in the future to create a symphony of peace; the sound of the aspiration to build a strong Vietnam.

Going back in time 50 years ago, the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, achieved complete victory, bringing our country into a new era, the era of national independence and socialism. Half a century has passed, but the echoes of the great spring victory will forever go down in our nation's history as the most brilliant page, a shining symbol of complete victory in revolutionary heroism and human intelligence.

Through that, it has entered world history as a great feat of the 20th century, an event of great international importance and outstanding contemporary significance. Culture and art are also one of the important fronts contributing to the resounding success of the triumphal song of April 30, 1975.

Culture and art also have the mission of guiding and connecting the past and the future, suffering and happiness, dreams and reality. Today's Unification Spring art program is a profound gratitude to the previous generations, the soldiers and compatriots who did not spare their blood and bones, and were willing to sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland so that the country could be at peace from then on; to let the flag of freedom permeate; to let laughter be heard everywhere from the day of victory as in the lyrics of the song "Continue writing the story of peace". This is one of the highlights of the art program.

The program is also an epic where the music resonates from deep faith, where each song is a flower of remembrance, each movement is the beat of millions of Vietnamese hearts for the dream of peace and prosperity.

The message of the program is a strong belief in the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam to have a spring of unification. The Vietnamese people will unite together to continue writing a new epic of the era of building a strong and developed country.
