On August 10, Brazilian aviation authorities announced that the black box of Voepass Flight 2283, which crashed in Vinhedo, Sao Paulo state, had been found and would be sent to Brasilia for analysis.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital Brasilia, the directors of the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (Cenipa) and the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) stated that there were no emergency announcements from the pilots on the ill-fated flight that killed 61 people, including 57 passengers and 4 crew members.

Brigadier General Marcelo Moreno, Director of Cenipa, stated that the black boxes were intact and it was too early to determine the cause of the tragedy. A representative from the Sao Paulo Military Police announced that there were no survivors.
Video shared on CNN shows the plane losing balance, spiraling down into a residential area, and bursting into flames.
According to authorities, no one on the ground was injured or killed. Both the aircraft and the crew had all the necessary and valid permits, as well as meeting all safety standards.
