When it comes to the frontline team in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, people often think of the team of doctors, soldiers and public security officers who fight the pandemic day and night, but we cannot help but mention an equally important team, which is also regularly present on all fronts of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control, which is the Militia and Self-Defense Force, officers and soldiers of the People's Army. In the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Militia and Self-Defense Force and soldiers in the military have promoted their spirit and responsibility, standing side by side with the frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic. Thereby, contributing to repelling the pandemic, protecting people's health and maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.

During the days when the whole country tightened social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic, it was not difficult to see the image of soldiers sneaking into alleys or locked-down residential areas to bring free necessities to support people in difficult circumstances, households with unfortunate people infected with Covid-19 so that "no one is left behind". Vietnam.vn would like to send you images of soldiers enthusiastically providing free necessities day and night to people in locked-down areas, through the photo series "Militia love in locked-down areas" by author Vo Hoang Trieu. At this difficult time, military officers and soldiers have been mobilized to participate in the "war" against Covid-19 in the area. They are the "square star" soldiers who are silently working day and night on the front line, contributing to repelling the Covid-19 epidemic, bringing a peaceful life to the people. At all locations from residential areas, checkpoints on roads, blockade areas in localities to centralized quarantine locations, there are officers and soldiers present. Here, their task is to support the functional forces in maintaining security and order, controlling and preventing people from entering and leaving checkpoints, preparing facilities at quarantine facilities; propagating and instructing people on epidemic prevention and control measures. In addition to performing the task of being on duty at checkpoints, the militia and self-defense forces regularly coordinate with the authorities to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to remind people not to gather in large numbers, to declare their health when returning from other localities, to regularly clean their houses, and to follow the "5K" recommendations of the Ministry of Health.
