The solidarity between militia and civilians in lockdown zones.

Việt NamViệt Nam19/11/2024

When talking about the frontline teams in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, people often immediately think of the doctors, nurses, soldiers, and police officers who are working day and night to combat the disease. However, we cannot fail to mention another equally important team, also frequently present on all fronts of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts: the militia and self-defense forces, and the officers and soldiers of the People's Army. In the face of the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the militia and self-defense forces and the soldiers of the People's Army have demonstrated their spirit and responsibility, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic. This has contributed to pushing back the disease, protecting the health of the people, and maintaining political security and social order in the area.
During the days when the whole country tightened social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not difficult to spot images of soldiers venturing into alleyways and quarantined residential areas to deliver free essential supplies to people in difficult circumstances, and families with members who unfortunately contracted Covid-19, ensuring that "no one is left behind." Vietnam.vn would like to present to you images of soldiers enthusiastically providing free essential supplies to people in quarantined areas, through the photo series "Militia and Soldiers in Quarantine Zones" by author Vo Hoang Trieu. The author submitted this photo series to the "Happy Vietnam" Photo and Video Contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications . During this critical time, military officers and soldiers have been mobilized to participate in the "war" against Covid-19 in the area. They are the "square star" soldiers who are silently working day and night on the front lines, contributing to pushing back the Covid-19 epidemic and bringing peace to the people. At all locations, from residential areas and checkpoints on roads to lockdown areas in localities and centralized quarantine sites, military officers and soldiers are present. Here, their nhiệm vụ is to support functional forces in maintaining security and order, controlling and preventing people from entering and leaving checkpoints, preparing facilities at quarantine sites, and disseminating information and guiding people on epidemic prevention and control measures. In addition to performing their duties at checkpoints, the militia forces regularly coordinate with functional forces to go door-to-door reminding people not to gather in large groups, to declare their health status when returning from other localities, to regularly clean their houses, and to follow the "5K" recommendations of the Ministry of Health . In 2024, the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest will continue to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website.   https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above. The competition aims to honor individuals and groups with positive informational products that make practical contributions to promoting a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world . Through this, it helps people at home, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends access authentic images of Vietnam, its people, its achievements in ensuring human rights, and towards a happy Vietnam. Each competition category (photos and videos) has the following prizes and prize values: – 1 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND – 2 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND – 3 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND – 10 Consolation Prizes: 5,000,000 VND – 1 Most Voted entry: 5,000,000 VND.
