On the morning of June 8th, the special aircraft carrying Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and his wife, along with a high-level Cambodian delegation, landed at Noi Bai International Airport ( Hanoi ). Prime Minister Hun Manet is on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.
The delegation included: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn; Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina; Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul; Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra; Minister of Tourism Huot Hak; Minister of Public Works and Transport Peng Ponea; Minister attached to the Prime Minister So Naro; Minister attached to the Prime Minister Prak Sam Oeun; and Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Touch Sopharath.

Welcoming the Cambodian Prime Minister and his delegation at the airport were: Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan; Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu; Cambodian Ambassador to Vietnam Touch Sopharath; and leaders of several departments and divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Following this, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet attended a welcoming ceremony at the Government headquarters hosted by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung. The Cambodian Prime Minister will have meetings with key Vietnamese leaders and attend the ASEAN Future Forum.
Attending the welcoming ceremony were: Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Minister and Head of the Government Office Dang Xuan Phong; Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh; Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Truong Thang; Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen; Deputy Head of the Government Office Don Tuan Phong; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van; Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong; Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung and Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu.








This is Prime Minister Hun Manet's second visit to Vietnam since the 7th Cambodian Government was formed (August 2023).
Taking place as the two countries prepare to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, a particularly significant milestone in the history of Vietnam-Cambodia relations, the visit further contributes to strengthening political trust and creating new momentum for the bilateral relationship to continue to deepen, become more substantive and effective in all fields.
Throughout various periods of historical ups and downs, the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship has been built and nurtured on a foundation of friendship, solidarity, mutual assistance, and shared strategic interests, becoming a precious asset of the two nations.
In order to further consolidate and strengthen relations in all fields, the two countries are accelerating the implementation of strategic directions agreed upon by the high-level leaders of the two Parties and two countries. Both sides maintain close cooperation and coordination within multilateral mechanisms, especially ASEAN and the Mekong sub-regional cooperation mechanisms.
Trade, investment, and tourism cooperation are bright spots, showing stable growth. Two-way trade turnover is expected to reach US$11.33 billion in 2025, an increase of over 11.7% compared to 2024. In the first four months of 2026, it is projected to reach nearly US$5 billion, an increase of 9.6% compared to the same period in 2025.
Vietnam is currently Cambodia's third-largest trading partner and its largest trading partner in ASEAN. Both sides are actively coordinating to achieve the goal of reaching US$20 billion in bilateral trade turnover soon.
In 2025, Vietnam is expected to have 1.22 million tourists visiting Cambodia (leading the list of countries with the most tourists visiting Cambodia), and nearly 700,000 Cambodian tourists.
Other areas of cooperation, such as education and training, transportation, culture, health, and telecommunications, are also being actively promoted. Exchanges and cooperation between associations and mass organizations are maintained and are being innovated in form.
The two countries also cooperate closely in international, regional, and sub-regional forums, especially the United Nations, ASEAN and ASEAN-led mechanisms, and the Mekong sub-regional cooperation mechanisms, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of each country in the region and the world.
