Typically, Thot Not district currently has a total aquaculture area of ​​309.39 hectares, reaching 75.46% of the plan. Of which, the area for raising pangasius meat is 283.95 hectares (reaching 74.72% of the plan), the area for raising pangasius fry is 15.1 hectares (3.11 hectares higher than the same period in 2024), the area for raising catfish is 7.05 hectares, and the area for raising other fish is 3.29 hectares. The number of fish rafts is 243. In addition, Thot Not also has a concentrated pangasius farming area of ​​1 company with an area of ​​10.55 hectares; 31.29 hectares of processing by 17 facilities, with a processing rate of about 7,000 VND/kg. Up to this point, Thot Not has harvested a total aquatic product output of 31,751 tons, reaching 31.13% of the plan, an increase of over 4,033 tons compared to the same period in 2024. Of which, tra fish output is 31,233 tons, an increase of 4,000 tons compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 31.87% of the yearly plan; catfish output is 44 tons, raft fish output is 404 tons, and other fish output is 70 tons. Most tra fish farming households only sign purchase and sale contracts with processing enterprises when the fish reach commercial size, so prices are unstable, depending on the consumption market at each harvest time. Currently, the price of commercial pangasius fluctuates between 30,500-31,500 VND/kg (5,000 VND/kg higher than the same period in 2024), while the cost of raising pangasius is from 24,000-25,000 VND/kg, so farmers earn a good profit, about 6,000 VND/kg.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thot Not district, the above results were achieved thanks to the district having a fairly high area of ​​aquaculture certified for food safety. The locality has a total area of ​​161.28 hectares of 74 tra fish farms certified for food safety. Of which, 25 farms are farming according to VietGAP standards, 10.55 hectares of ATTP/ASC, and 48 farms are farming according to food safety standards with an area of ​​99.33 hectares. In addition, aquaculture production, business, and services have also developed, with the number of aquaculture seed production facilities being 6... providing safe, quality seeds for farmers.

In the field of high-quality rice production, farmers in Thot Not district planted 3,588 hectares of summer-autumn rice in 2025, reaching 101.73% of the plan, down 135.39 hectares compared to the same period in 2024. The structure of high-quality rice varieties is focused on sowing, with 63% of the area using OM 5451 varieties, 28% OM 18 varieties and 9% of the area using other varieties. Of which, there are 115 hectares of tillering rice and 3,463 hectares of heading rice. This summer-autumn crop, Thot Not district continues to maintain and expand 8 large fields in 7 wards with a total area of ​​978.1 hectares.
