Can Tho Ferry Terminal Joint Stock Company manages the Can Tho Central Bus Station and the O Mon District Bus Station. The company expects the volume of vehicles and passengers passing through the station during the April 30 and May 1 holidays to increase by about 40% compared to normal days. Of which, the volume of vehicles passing through the station is about 2,115 vehicles and the number of passengers is expected to be about 42,119. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Deputy General Director of Can Tho Ferry Terminal Joint Stock Company, the company has directed the leaders of the bus stations to coordinate with transport business units to ensure enough vehicles to serve passengers on fixed routes at the station. At the same time, closely coordinate with relevant forces in the process of regulating traffic in the station area and its outskirts. Instruct passengers to take the right vehicle, on the right route; regularly announce on loudspeakers the routes currently operating at the station to facilitate the travel needs of passengers at the company's bus stations.
To facilitate passengers, transport businesses proactively sell bus tickets in advance through many forms such as direct purchase at the office system and bus stations; indirect purchase through ticket booking hotlines and online channels (bus company applications, websites, etc.). In general, bus ticket prices are quite stable compared to normal days. Some bus companies charge surcharges on fixed routes and clearly announce them. For example, Phuong Trang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company - FUTA Bus Lines announced that ticket prices on fixed routes will be adjusted with a surcharge of 10-15%, depending on each route; surcharge application time: departure on April 29 and 30, 2025, return on May 3 and 4, 2025.
In public passenger transport activities, for bus operations, the Urban Traffic Management and Operation Center inspects the system of stops, waiting rooms, and transfer stations; arranges and assigns personnel to wash and paint waiting rooms, stops, collect trash, weed, and erase advertising leaflets... During the holiday, depending on the actual situation, increase the number of bus trips within the city and increase the bus travel time by 15-20 minutes to serve the travel needs of the people. Along with that, the Center coordinates with Phuong Trang FUTA Bus Lines Joint Stock Company - Can Tho branch to prepare a plan to increase buses to relieve passengers at inter-provincial bus stations on peak days when there is direction from the Department of Construction. The number of buses expected to increase is from 2-4 buses. The Center recommends that passenger transport businesses by taxi strictly comply with the provisions of the law on passenger transport by taxi, and have a plan for the rational use of means of transport. Declare and post fares according to regulations, absolutely do not arbitrarily increase fares; arrange online supervisors to increase information monitoring via journey monitoring devices to promptly prevent and strictly handle acts of speeding, illegal stopping and parking, driving continuously for more than 4 hours, causing disorder in traffic safety...
