Beating Philippines 3-0, Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Thailand again in the final

In the opening match of the second round of SEA V-League 2024 on the afternoon of August 9, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had a smooth start with a 3-1 victory over Indonesia. In the second round, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team met the Philippines. In the first round, the Vietnamese girls were the winning team with a score of 3-1.

Unlike the opening match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet fielded his strongest lineup, including Bich Tuyen, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Pham Thi Hien, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Nguyen Thi Trinh, and Tran Tu Linh.

In set 1, the two teams played an exciting tug-of-war. However, after the score was tied at 6-6, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team increased the gap in points, before winning 25-16. In this set, Vietnam's attack did not have to rely too much on the main hitter Bich Tuyen.

Set 2 was more difficult for the Vietnamese girls as their opponents were chasing the score fiercely. After the two teams tied at 18-18, Kieu Trinh and Nguyen Thi Trinh scored important points to help the Vietnamese women's volleyball team win 25-20.

In set 3, there were no surprises when Bich Tuyen and her teammates won 25-22, with an overall score of 3-0.

In the final match of the second round of SEA V-League 2024, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face Thailand again in the decisive match for the championship, taking place at 6:00 p.m. on August 11.
