The Foreign Affairs Committee has reviewed the Government 's submission; gradually bringing this work into order and further improving the quality of reviewing proposals for the approval of ambassador appointments and dismissals.

On the morning of August 5th, at the National Assembly building, the Foreign Affairs Committee held its 9th plenary session to review the Prime Minister 's submission regarding the approval of the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Vu Hai Ha, emphasized that since the implementation of the 2013 Constitution, the Foreign Affairs Committee has reviewed the Government's submission on the approval of the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad before submitting it to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for consideration; gradually bringing this work into order and further improving the quality of reviewing proposals for the approval of the appointment and dismissal of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad.
According to the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Vu Hai Ha, the Committee has recently made many innovations in the process of reviewing proposals for the appointment and dismissal of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad, contributing to building a professional, comprehensive, and modern Vietnamese diplomacy.
Also at the session, delegates heard the Prime Minister's presentation on the approval of the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad; and heard presentations on the work plans for the term of office from the nominated candidates for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the People's Republic of China concurrently accredited to the Federated States of Micronesia and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
In addition, delegates also discussed and provided feedback on the dossiers submitted for the approval of ambassadorial appointments, the criteria for ambassadorial appointments, and the work orientations and action programs of the individuals nominated for the ambassadorial positions.
At the conclusion of the session, the Foreign Affairs Committee unanimously agreed to submit to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for consideration and approval the appointment of Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam abroad at the August session.
