Implementing Resolution No. 08 of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, in recent times, Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province have issued many mechanisms and policies and devoted many resources to investing in tourism development. From 2015 to present, the provincial budget has invested more than 2,500 billion VND in infrastructure in tourist areas.

The province has attracted a number of enterprises such as Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company, Song Hong Thu Do Group Joint Stock Company... to invest in the tourism sector. Along with that, the province has strengthened State management of tourism, ensuring security, order and safety for tourists; promoting links and cooperation with neighboring provinces, especially localities with developed tourism industries, building attractive domestic tours for tourists.

Thanks to that, the number of tourists to the province is increasing, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. In 2024, the whole province welcomed 10.6 million tourists with total revenue reaching 4,000 billion VND. In the first quarter of 2025, the whole province welcomed more than 2.85 million visitors for tourism and relaxation, an increase of 11% and total tourism revenue reached 1.1 trillion VND, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024.

However, compared to the potential and advantages, the province's tourism revenue is still low; the spending rate of tourists is low due to the seasonal nature of tourism activities; tourism products are not really diverse, especially high-quality tourism products and services with local identity and characteristics.

Services have not been connected to form a tourism economic ecosystem. Some tourist areas, destinations, tourism promotion and advertising activities through international cultural and sports events are still limited and lack high-quality human resources. Digital transformation in tourism has not kept up with development requirements. The legal corridor for tourism investment and development has not been breakthrough...

The Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 sets the goal that by 2025, Vinh Phuc will become one of the industrial, service and tourism centers of the region and the whole country. To develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector in the direction of "Quality services - Different products - Sustainable efficiency" according to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, the province prioritizes tourism investment projects, focusing on developing tourism types with potential and competitive advantages including resort and ecological tourism; cultural, historical, scenic, and craft village tourism; conference and seminar tourism (MICE).

At the same time, issue and create breakthroughs in mechanisms and policies, in which the State plays a role in guiding, supporting, and removing difficulties and obstacles in mechanisms and policies in tourism development, while businesses and people are the main subjects, directly implementing and organizing service and tourism activities.

Currently, the province is promoting and promoting destinations and linking and cooperating to develop tourism with provinces and cities in the country in general and provinces and cities in the region in particular. Along with improving the quality of tourism services, through promotional activities, Vinh Phuc tourism has been creating connections with provinces and cities across the country, creating conditions for tourism businesses in the province to introduce new and attractive tourism products at preferential prices to stimulate tourism demand, creating favorable conditions for short-term tours to the province to attract more and more tourists.
